16 Year Old Anthony Davis Talking About Playing With LeBron James

Before he rose to NBA stardom, Anthony Davis was just like every other kid that idolizes LeBron James. That really isn’t something new.

LeBron has been the face of the NBA for almost a decade now — so instead of Michael Jordan, a lot of today’s NBA players have watched LeBron when they were kids.

Back when Anthony Davis was 16-years old, an interview revealed just how big of a LeBron fan Davis was. In the said interview, Davis was shown showing his LeBron signature shoes and talking about going to LeBron’s camp. Young AD also talked about potentially playing with him or against him in the future.

After playing seven seasons with the New Orleans Pelicans, the Los Angeles Lakers took the opportunity to trade for Davis and pair with him with childhood hero. The two have since become one of the, if not the, best duos in today’s NBA and have led their team to the best record in the Western Conference prior to the hiatus.

Davis openly talked about how he looked up to LeBron growing up. LeBron, on the other hand, has always shown a huge appreciation and respect for Anthony Davis. Their formidable bond seems to translate onto the court and is a part of why their team chemistry remains unscathed.
