35 Years Ago, Larry Bird Left Michael Jordan In Awe At The 1988 All-Star Weekend

Before Michael Jordan left people amazed during the 1988 Slam Dunk Contest, he was the one in awe.

Jordan watched Larry Bird make 23 out of a possible 30, while still wearing his warm-up jacket. MJ said:

“He didn’t take off his top yet. I’d hate to see it when he takes off his top.”

Well, Bird didn’t need to and took home to crown…

34 years ago today, LARRY BIRD walked into the All-Star locker room & said: “Who’s coming in second?”
