A Stranger Saved Doc Rivers From Losing $2K But Didn’t Stick Around For The Awesome Reward

Who would have thought that the sole playoff team coming out of Los Angeles would be the Clippers when the season started?! Even more so, after the Clippers traded Tobias Harris to the Philadelphia 76ers. Everyone was sure that the Clippers were opting for a rebuild.

But, we all were fooled by the team, as they’ve been one of the best teams since the All-Star break. Last night, they even stole a game from the Warriors.

All of the above has to put Doc Rivers in the mix when talking Coach of the year. But Rivers not only is a great coach, but also a great person. He told the story of how a stranger saved him from losing $2000. Unfortunately, the stranger did not stick around for the reward, which would have been free tickets to Game 2 between the Clippers and Warriors.

“Shoutout to the San Francisco person at the corner today. I was walking down the street, it’s a true story. I reached in my pocket to grab my phone and unbeknownst to me, I dropped about two grand on the street. Kept walking, didn’t know. The guy tapped me on the back and said, ‘That’s your money.’ I don’t know a lot of places where that would happen. But it happened today so whoever that was you could have had free tickets if you hadn’t ran away.”
