Anthony Edwards On Jimmy Butler Getting Into His Face: “He Ain’t Finna Fight Nobody”

The Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Miami Heat on Wednesday night, and Anthony Edwards got to his groove, finishing the night with 33 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists on 48.1% shooting from the field.

Edwards made sure not to back down against everybody, even if it means facing Jimmy Butler. At one point during the game, Edwards and Butler got into each other after Edwards pushed the 32-year old star for snatching the ball out of his hands after getting called for a travel. Things didn’t get much physical, but the two players had to be separated during the incident.

Edwards was now asked to share his thoughts about his confrontation with Butler. According to him, Butler had no intention to fight anybody on the court, consequently calling the whole situation as fake.

Per The Athletic:

“He ain’t finna fight nobody out there,” Edwards said. “All that walking up on each other, that’s stuff for the birds, man. I ain’t about to fight. I don’t get into all that. That shit be fake.”
