Bettor Drops $18k On Sacramento Kings, Who Haven’t Reached The Playoffs In 16 Years, To Win 2023 NBA Championship

If you’re looking for an easy way to lose or burn money, you should follow the lead of this bettor.

The bettor, who bet $10,000 on the Sacramento Kings to win the 2022-23 NBA Championship now doubled down on his bet and added another $8,000 dropped another $8k on them to win it all. If the miracle were to happen, the bettor would make $10.3 million.

But in reality, it’s an insane $18k on a team that’s projected to finish last in its division, and a team that currently holds the record in all of American Pro Sports for the longest active playoff draught.

But, hey, I guess a potential $10.3 million payout is worth it?

For the 1985-86 NBA season, the Kings Franchise relocated from Kansas City to Sacramento, a city the Kings call its home till today.

Originally joining the NBA as the Rochester Royals in 1945, the franchised eventually relocated to Cincinnati in 1957, where they would stay until their move and name change to the Kansas City Kings in 1978.

If we take away the team’s sole successful era between 1998 and 2006, the Kings made the playoffs only twice in 28 years since moving to Sacramento, and not for a single time in the past 16 years.
