Brooklyn Nets Players Defend Kyrie Irving, Accusing Media Of Making Up Stories

Kyrie Irving has sparked a coalition in the NBA, spearheading the opposition who are voicing their concerns about the resumption of the 2019-20 NBA season, scheduled to return in late July at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.

Recent report suggests that Irving, who’s been holding virtual meetings and private conversations, has made his way to a chat group involving his Nets teammates, urging them to start their own league for the purpose of skipping the NBA’s plan to return to play.

“In a recent chat group with Nets players, Kyrie Irving lobbied for skipping the bubble, the Daily News has learned. In that chat, he also proposed that the players can start their own league, according to a source.”

However, fellow Nets players Chris Chiozza, Theo Pinson and Caris Levert weighed in on Twitter and quickly dismissed the report, accusing the media of making up stories about their teammate.

“Y’all just making up shit about my guy now… cut the cap y’all really getting annoying”

Bleacher Report’s Taylor Rooks also came into defense of Irving, denying the report and stating that Irving left the group chat after the original report about his allegedly proposal to his teammates came surfacing.

Sources tell me that Kyrie Irving never stated that the Nets should begin their own league in response to the bubble.

I’m told that after that report came out, he left the group chat.

Countless players have gone public ever since Irving voiced out his stance in call to scrap the remainder of the season. Many players involving the Nets star point guard are concerned that the season would be a distraction to more important social issues that the players and the rest of the country are currently facing.

Despite of the emerging opposition, the NBA is still expected to return and will begin its training camp starting on July 9.
