Charles Barkley Believes Stephen Curry Has Passed Isiah Thomas As The Greatest Small Guard Ever

Stephen Curry is often regarded as the greatest shooter in NBA history, but where does he rank among the greatest point guards of all-time? Now that he has a Finals MVP to go along with four championships and two MVP awards, Curry’s case has certainly gotten stronger.

Many fans and basketball pundits alike have started to move Curry at the top of many all-time lists. Golden State Warriors veteran Andre Iguodala, for instance, recently claimed that the 34-year old offensive genius has solidified himself as the best point guard in NBA history after winning his fourth title.

As conversations surrounding Curry’s legacy continue to fly around, Hall of Famer and now-NBA analyst Charles Barkley decided to weigh in and shared his perspective about Curry’s place in NBA history.

Appearing on ESPN’s Get Up, Barkley now said that Curry has passed Detroit Pistons legend and two-time NBA champion Isiah Thomas as the greatest small guard ever.

“This is going to be painful for me to say, but I think he passes Isiah Thomas as the greatest small guard ever. That’s just my personal opinion. I mean, 4 championships. Because, Isiah Thomas, to me, is the greatest little one guard ever. So I think for me, this pushes him past Isiah Thomas as the greatest small point guard ever.”
