Charles Barkley Hilariously Destroyed The Entire Los Angeles Clippers Franchise

Things could have definitely turned out more successfully for the Los Angeles Clippers last season.

Starting the season as on of the league’s top contenders, their season was cut short by the Denver Nuggets in the Eastern Conference Finals, after the Clippers had already led the series three games to one.

This was basically nothing new for Clippers fans, or anyone following the NBA, as the Clippers own many of the most undesirable records in the NBA. In 50 years the Clippers have:

– Zero Conference Finals Appearances, let alone Finals appearances or championships won
– Longest streak with no playoff appearances (15 seasons)
– Longest streak with no playoff series wins (29 seasons)
– Second worst win % in NBA (only the Timberwolves are worse)
– 15 playoff qualifications (in 50 years, in a league where more than half the teams make it)
– Only 6 playoff series won
– 15 seasons with a record better than .500 (9 of them were within the past decade so for 42 years only 6 years with a win % better than 50)
– Took 43 years to clinch first division title

These devastating stats now were used by Charles Barkley for a hilarious slander of the Los Angeles Clippers. During his triumphant return to Inside the NBA on TNT, Chuck destroyed the franchise:

“I’ve been poor, I’ve been rich, I’ve been fat, I’ve been skinny, I’ve been old, I’ve been in the Hall of Fame, and one thing I can always tell you – the Clippers have alway sucked.”
