Charles Barkley Hilariously Roasted LeBron James When Announcing Him As All-Star Starter

Charles Barkley was one of the most entertaining players in NBA history – on and off the court. Thankfully this hasn’t changed for his second career in broadcasting. The Inside the NBA on TNT crew simply is the best when it comes to basketball shows on TV.

Barkley simply is a genuinely funny guy and proved this once yesterday, when the All-Star Starters for the 2023 NBA All-Star Game in Salt Lake City were announced.

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James’ record-tying 19th selection to the NBA All-Star Game headlined Thursday’s announcement of the starters. James will represent the Western Conference as a captain and has the choosing rights when it comes to his team when prior to the game.

Charles Barkley however was the one to announce James as starter and captain, and he did so as expected from him, by hilariously throwing shade at LeBron’s age and incredible longevity:

“The captain! He’s 96 years old! He’s gonna become the all-time leading scorer soon! LeBron James!”
