Charles Barkley was one of the most entertaining players in NBA history – on and off the court. Thankfully this hasn’t changed for his second career in broadcasting. Chuck is well-known for his unspoken personality. As such, Barkley often makes controversial hot takes and plenty of head-turning opinions.

Barkley sure turned heads during a recent March Madness broadcast, when he revealed that he used to clean his uniform by showering in it.

This led to a hilarious conversation of the entire panel, with Kenny Smith not having it for one second.

Chuck: “I’m so old, we used to take a shower in our uniforms.”

Kenny: “Wait, timeout. There’s no era where you did that. Stop. You’re making this up. There’s no way that you were supposed to wash your uniform with it on. You’re making this up.”

Chuck: “When I first got to the NBA, we flew commercial. So when you played the night before and flew the next morning, when was you exactly going to get your uniform cleaned? You had to wash your uniform yourself. So after the game, when you got to your room, you took a shower in your uniform, and dried it, and dropped it off on the commercial airline the next day.”

Kenny: “He’s making this up.”

Kellog: “You can clean your uniform without showering in it. That is possible. You can actually clean it without showering in it.”

Chuck: “No, but it’s easier to do it that way,”
