Charles Barkley Says Steph Curry And The Warriors Wouldn’t Have Lasted In The 70s And 80s NBA

Phoenix Suns legend Charles Barkley has never been one to shy away from letting his true feelings on a subject be heard. And when it comes to the Golden State Warriors, Barkley’s contempt has always been well-documented.

Now, the player-turned-analyst is back with another truly questionable take about the Stephen Curry-led team. Amid the debates involving the Warriors and Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls, Barkley stretched out the discussion and talked about how the Warriors would have fared in the past eras of the NBA.

Appearing on “Dan Patrick Show”, Barkley argued that the Warriors wouldn’t have lasted in the 1970s and 1980s NBA, considering that the Warriors do not offer much size as opposed to physical teams like the Bad Boys Pistons for example.

“The Warriors, I love what they do but them little bodies they got, they wouldn’t last in the 70s and the 80s. No disrespect. Let’s be realistic. You know how much I love Steph Curry, you think he can take that beating Michael got against the Bad Boys Pistons? Please stop it. The game was just so much more physical.”
