Chicago Bulls Seeking A Costly Asking Price For Alex Caruso, Two NBA Teams Show Interest

The Chicago Bulls have plenty of talent, but the overall fit of their roster has always been a suspect. Coming off a 46-36 campaign last year, the Bulls have finally hit reality and are nearing the “blow it up” territory this season.

Teams are closely monitoring the Bulls as the trade deadline approaches, and one player that has been drawing interest is defensive-minded guard Alex Caruso.

Caruso can operate as the primary option on defense and as a secondary playmaker on offense. He can also space the floor and excels at doing every scrap of dirty work. Considering his impact on both ends of the floor, it should not be a surprise that the Bulls could make him quite costly for a potential suitor.

Sources now say that the Bulls are seeking two first-round picks for Caruso, and the Golden State Warriors and the New York Knicks are the two teams that could make a play for the 28-year old defensive guard.

Per Yahoo Sports:

From Marc Stein via Yahoo! Sports’ Jake Fischer, there’s been ‘rumbling’ that the Bulls are seeking two future first-round picks in return for Alex Caruso, if Chicago were to part with the six-year guard.

Per NBC Sports:

“The vultures are circling. Multiple teams have inquired about Alex Caruso, per sources. The Knicks have scouted Caruso of late and own first-round picks that could be dangled with a contract like Obi Toppin if the Bulls show any inclination of trading their defensive ace. The Golden State Warriors also are cited by league sources as a potential suitor.”
