Chris Broussard Says Lakers Will Suffer The Same Result As Last Year If They Don’t Move Russell Westbrook

Rumors and speculations are swirling among the Los Angeles Lakers, with Russell Westbrook being the hottest commodity.

The 33-year old Lakers point guard averaged 18.5 points, 7.4 rebounds and 7.1 assists per game on 44.4% shooting from the field in the regular season. The Lakers missed the playoffs, and Westbrook ended up becoming the scapegoat.

Amid trade speculations surrounding Westbrook, it was recently reported that the Lakers may plan to keep him for next season instead of surrendering additional assets to convince someone else to trade for him.

Bearing that in mind, NBA analyst Chris Broussard suggested that the Lakers will suffer the same result as last season if they don’t move Westbrook, especially if things turn out ugly early in the next season.

“Of all of the names that were out there, Darvin Ham was the guy to go with for the Lakers. It was a great hire. … The Lakers have to try to move Russ, or I don’t see this being too much different from what we saw last year.”
