Chris Paul Gives Honest Admission On Shoulder Injury: “Kind Of Helpless”

With less than seven minutes left in the second quarter of Game 5, Chris Paul re-aggravated his right shoulder injury that he suffered during the series-opener against the Los Angeles Lakers. The injury happened after Paul got bumped by Wesley Matthews as the Lakers shooting guard was working on a box out.

Paul was in serious pain, but was able to come back on the floor moments later. Paul and the Suns managed to keep their foot on the gas until the end of regulation, cruising to a 115-85 Game 5 win over the defending champions.

After the game, Paul gave an honest admission on re-aggravating his shoulder injury and admitted that it scared him at first when it happened.

“It scared me,” Paul said after Tuesday’s win. “I’ve been talking to (Toronto Raptors guard) Kyle Lowry a lot. He had a similar injury last year. A few other guys. Just a very uncomfortable feeling. Kind of helpless.”
