Chris Paul Will Be Going Nowhere: “We’ll Be Right Back Here Next Year”

Chris Paul has been defying father time at age 37, posting per-game averages of 15.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 10.7 assists per game on 48.9% shooting while helping the Phoenix Suns set themselves up as the best team in the NBA.

On Sunday night however, Paul and his teammates were eliminated in embarrassing fashion. The Suns had a Game 7 meltdown and got blown out by the Dallas Mavericks.

Given Paul’s age, many questioned if that was the last we’ve seen of him, with a possible retirement looming around the corner. CP3 himself however set the record straight and confirmed he’ll return to the Suns next season, to attack for the NBA title once again.

“They said that last year. They probably said it back in ’08. Every time you lose, they’re gonna say it’s your best chance… but we’ll be back next year. I ain’t retiring tomorrow, thank God.”
