Comeback? Baron Davis Is Ready To Help The Clippers

It’s been five years since two-time All Star Baron Davis has played an NBA game. He last played 29 games for the New York Knicks in the 2011-2012 season, but Davis remains confidence in his game. In an overconfident tweet he posted this past summer, he claimed that he could still average 12 points and 6 assists per game, in the NBA.

This past Saturday, Davis was in Los Angeles to watch his former team, the Los Angeles Clippers, play against the Sacramento Kings. In a video posted to the Clippers’ official Twitter account, Davis was interviewed by sideline reporter Jamie Maggio and again offered to make a comeback and help out the Clippers.

Of course. If the Clippers need me, I could come in there and turn it around,”

Even though the Clippers are in need of a point guard, Patrick Beverley is out for the season and Milos Teodosic is out for at least another 3-4 weeks, making a comeback after five years out of the game seems very unlikely.

But Baron Davis can still ball and has always been one of the fanciest players in the leauge. The third overall pick of the 1999 NBA draft, played for the Charlotte Hornets, the New Orleans Hornets, the Golden State Warriors, the Los Angeles Clippers, the Cleveland Cavaliers and the New York Knicks.
