Damian Lillard On Lakers: “We Can Beat These Motherf**kers”

Damian Lillard has taken his game to the next level since arriving at the NBA Bubble. Leading the Portland Trail Blazers to a 6-2 record, tallying 37.6 points, 4.3 rebounds and 9.6 assists per game on 49.7% shooting from the field, Lillard became the easy choice for the Most Valuable Player of the Bubble.

Reaching the playoffs, and full of confidence, the Portland Trail Blazers surely won’t be an easy task for the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round matchup of the two teams. And Lillard seems far from done.

After advancing to the playoffs last night, he sent out a warning to the favored Lakers: 

“I mean, I think the reason why we competed so hard, the reason why we fought so hard to get into the playoffs is because we fee like we’re capable of doing anything. We can beat anybody, so now we just gotta get rested and get ready for the next thing. You know our work is just beginning”

While the Lakers will have major problems to find an answer, and matchup for the backcourt duo of Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum, the Portland Trail Blazers do not seem to have an answer for LeBron James and Anthony Davis themselves. 

It could be a fun first round series.
