Damian Lillard Would Be The MVP If The Season Ended Today, Per Jusuf Nurkic

Despite a plethora of injuries, Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers have been heating up as of late. They now boast an 18-10 team record which is good for the fourth seed in the Western Conference while building a notable six-game winning streak.

Lillard is on tear, averaging 29.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 7.7 assists per game on 45.1% shooting from the field over his last 27 games. The Blazers star is no stranger to putting up these numbers, but the fact that he’s doing this while carrying an injury-riddled team tells a lot about his MVP candidacy so far this season.

Lillard is currently not one of the front-runners for MVP for some reason. However, Blazers big man Jusuf Nurkic strongly believes that the polarizing Blazers point guard is the MVP if the season ended today.

“They talking Dame should be in MVP conversation… man if season over today He is the MVP!!!”
