Danny Green Hints Dealing With Undisclosed Injury During The Finals: “That Was Never On The Injury Report”

Danny Green may have won his third NBA championship, but the Lakers shooting guard wasn’t moving like he used to be and was inconsistent in some stretches of their post-season run, yet, he still contributed in different ways.

Although Green has previously refused to use injuries as an excuse, it seems like he was far more hurt than what fans and the organization anticipated. The sharpshooter was suffering from an injury that was ultimately affecting his performance in the NBA Finals.

During his appearance on the ‘Inside the Green Room’ podcast, Green, who was initially talking about the Lakers’ post-game celebration, hinted that he was unhealthy throughout their championship run, consequently mentioning an Achilles pain which was left out on the injury report.

Per silverscreenandroll:

“When I got off the plane, man, all the adrenaline wore off, all the injuries came back to life, felt like a newborn baby deer. My legs were numb. I felt my hip, my Achilles, my whole body. Like ‘damn, all the drugs and adrenaline wore off!’ I needed a couple of days before I could celebrate. People were like ‘let’s turn up, let’s drink.’ I’m like ‘nah, I need a couple days. Let me just relax first and get some sleep.’” Green said.
