DeMar DeRozan and Dwane Casey Emotionally Reunite

DeMar DeRozan got screwed badly. No Raptors player has ever embraced the city of Toronto like him, and no Raptors player has ever reached the stats he’s reached. DeMar left town being the Raptors’ all-time leader in games played, minutes and points.

But the NBA is a business and DeMar DeRozan got reminded of exactly that this past offseason when the Raptors traded him to the San Antonio Spurs. Like DeRozan, his former head coach, Dwane Casey, also was extremely devoted to the Raptors franchise and the entire city of Toronto. The two were a key factor in making the Raptors a respectable franchise again, as well as a contender.

This is the reason the two can relate on so many levels. Last night, Casey, who is the head coach of the Detroit Pistons now, and DeMar, reunited before their game against each other and shared an emotional moment.
