Dennis Smith Jr. Has 27 Days Left To Break Lonzo Ball’s Record

This past Saturday night, Lonzo Ball made NBA history and became the youngest player to record a triple double.

Ball finished with 13 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists against the Milwaukee Bucks and was exactly 20 years and 15 days old. LeBron James had previously held the record with 20 years and 20 days.

But that record could possibly be broke soon. Dallas Mavericks rookie point guard Dennis Smith Jr. has also been playing well this season, and still has time to beat Ball.

Smith, who already came close to achieving a triple double last week, when he finished with 22 points, eight rebounds and eight assists, is averaging 14.3 points, 3.9 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game. He will have 27 days to go before hitting the 20 years and 15 days age-milestone. During this time-span, the Mavs will play 8 games.
