Devin Booker Upset About Officiating After Loss To Heat: “Don’t Know What We Can Do”

Devin Booker isn’t pleased with the way referees have been treating them this season, especially after their recent loss to the Miami Heat on Monday night.

The Suns are currently averaging 20.4 free throw attempts per game this season, which puts them for the third-fewest free throw attempts in the NBA. Only the Oklahoma City Thunder (19.9) and the Golden State Warriors (20.2) are averaging less.

As the Suns etched out a one-point loss against the Heat on Monday, one interesting takeaway was the free throw discrepancy between the two teams. The Heat attempted 25 free throws all game, while the Suns went to the line for only four times.

This has now led Booker to voice his frustration with what he perceived to be a lack of respect coming from the referees.

“We just gotta keep playing until we get [the referees’] respect,” Booker said on the free throw discrepancy on the evening, via Suns reporter Duane Rankin of az central. “I don’t know what we can do. Just keep playing basketball.”
