Draymond Green Claims The Golden State Warriors Will Win Three Of The Next Four NBA Titles
The Golden State Warriors finished off the Boston Celtics in Game 6 of the NBA Finals to hoist their fourth NBA championship in the span of eight years. Stephen Curry put up a masterclass and was crowned the Finals MVP with averages of 31.2 points, 6.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game on 48.2% shooting from the field.
Many people counted the Warriors out before this season, but a dominant performance from Curry, as well as steady contributions from the likes of Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole for instance completely changed the narrative, and now, the Warriors have become the early betting favorites to win the title in 2023.
Rightfully so, the Warriors are now featuring a healthy trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green – something that they missed in the 2020 and 2021 NBA seasons. In addition to this, the Warriors will finally have James Wiseman back in the lineup next season while keeping their other complimentary players.
Inarguably the most outspoken player from the Warriors, Draymond Green, doesn’t lack confidence in this squad and now claims that the Warriors will win three of the next four NBA championships during his appearance in a crossover episode of “JJ Redick’s The Old Man and The Three podcast” and “The Draymond Green Show.”
“In 2019 was when Steph really locked in on the weight room, and so that’s when he starts taking that bump, and although it didn’t show immediately cause in 2020 we were terrible, and he broke his hand. You start seeing in 2021, we were still terrible, but Steph was carrying us, and he carried us to the play-in game, and we didn’t get past that, and it was probably great because we’d gotten swept, and that would have been the first series, we’ve ever got swept.
I think you started to see it then that growth. Nobody can stop this dude, and I think that really changed the complexity of our organization. I’m pretty certain that’s why we’ll win 3 of the next 4 NBA championships.”
