Draymond Green Names Ja Morant As The Young Player That Reminds Him The Most Of Himself

Ja Morant rose to the occasion during this past NBA season as he averaged 27.4 points, 5.7 rebounds and 6.7 assists per game on 49.3% shooting from the field and ended up winning the Most Improved Player of the Year award.

In the playoffs, Morant was just fearless through and through. Whether it was against the Minnesota Timberwolves or the Golden State Warriors, the 23-year old Grizzlies star was constantly chirping with his opponents, letting them know that he was not backing down from the challenge.

It may be safely said that Morant didn’t simply rise to the occasion, but he did it in a way in which he was ruthless. He had that attitude to go along with his electrifying style of play, which is why he has seized the attention of many people around the NBA including Draymond Green.

In a recent episode of “The Draymond Green Show”, Draymond was asked which younger NBA player reminds him the most of himself, and he responded by saying that it’s Ja Morant.

“I’m going to have to go with, in a much different way, Ja Morant,” he said. “I ain’t bowing down to none of y’all. I don’t care what you’ve accomplished before I got here. That has absolutely nothing to do with me. I believe in myself and my abilities. I’m going to show you that. I’m going to lead. I’m going to talk to you and let you know about it while I’m doing it. I’m gonna carry others with me, and most importantly, I’m gone do it my way. And all of those things that I just named, I see Ja Morant do.”
