Dwight Howard Made His Mom Cry By Pranking Her Saying He Signed With Utah

During this past summer, Dwight Howard went back to his hometown. He signed a three-year, $70.5 million deal with Atlanta, and seems to be getting his mojo back more and more, as another game passes.

Dwight though, played a prank on his mother before telling her that he will indeed be coming home, in telling her he signed a contract with the Utah Jazz. It kind of backfired, because the prank made his mother cry. She heard the rumors that he might be coming back to Atlanta (and he probably told her that he is considering it) and simply was devistated that apparently he wasn’t coming back home after all.

Thankfully, Dwight instantly revealed that it was a prank, making his mother happy.

“I played a prank on my mom. I wanted to see her reaction, so I told her, I said, ‘Mom, I just got this big contract, $150 million.’ And she was like, ‘Oh my God, from who?’ I said, ‘Utah Jazz,’ and she started crying. And I said, ‘Mom, sorry, I was just joking, I’m coming home to Atlanta.’ And then she was super happy and my family was super excited.”
