Erik Spoelstra Was Surprised How Quick Shams Charania Broke News Of Heat Signing Smith 

Breaking news gurus Adrian Wojnarowski and Shams Charania share a very interesting history.

Woj was the mentor of Shams, until Shams starting to beat Woj to some of the league’s biggest trades, which set off a rivalry between the two.

But even year’s later no other reporter can hold a candle to them when it comes to breaking news. Sometimes it even is scary and players or coaches involved are spooked out about Charania, just like Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra the other day.

Before Spo’s press conference, Shams Charania reported that the Heat were signing Dru Smith to a two-way contract. Spoelstra then was surprised how quick the news came out and was looking for Shams, who wasn’t in the room.
