Fan Raises $43K To Give Out ‘Stand With Hong Kong’ Shirts At Lakers’ Season Opener

A Los Angeles Lakers fan has made it his goal to protest against China’s censorship at the Lakers’ season opener against their local rivals, the Los Angeles Clippers.

When it’s Lakers vs Clippers, Kawhi vs. LeBron, the fan’s plan is to distribute ‘Fight for freedom, stand with Hong Kong’ T-Shirt for every fan who will be attending the game. That’s why he set up a GoFundMe page with the goal to raise the $20,000 in need for such project. He’s raised more than double!

“China is trying to censor the Houston Rockets (update: and now the entire NBA) because of Hong Kong. Wouldn’t it be hilarious if on opening night in Staples Center the NBA fanbase made a collective demonstration against censorship by wearing “STAND WITH Hong Kong” T-Shirts?”
