Former Detroit Pistons Player Likens Michael Jordan To A Messiah And Here’s Why

Michael Jordan is arguably the best basketball player the world has ever seen. He was a fierce competitor who surpassed every expectation anyone had upon him and kept on winning. Jordan also is a global icon and is part of those legends who made the NBA into what it is today.

Countless of fans witnessed how Jordan competed every night, and reached stardom on and off the court, but fans barely know what went on behind all the success and greatness that Jordan accumulated during his glory days.

It wasn’t always easy for the six-time champion. In an interview with ‘Vlad TV’, former Detroit Pistons big man John Salley talked about what he learned about Jordan that people may have no idea about, thereafter equating the Chicago Bulls superstar to a messiah.

“I learned this about Michael. No one knows the pressure Michael Jordan is under. Because we watch him on court and you go ‘Ahh’ but you don’t know the pressure he is under.”

“The media, trying to be a family man, saving the NBA from destruction, making it a worldwide business. It was already on, but Michael made it what it is. When you’re a messiah, no one knows the pressure of the messiah. The messiah is there to save,” Salley mentioned.
