Former NBA Player Says LeBron James Is Tougher To Guard Than Kevin Durant

Over the past couple of years, there have been plenty of times where fans were wondering which player in the NBA is the toughest matchup for any opposition. When having that conversation, fans cannot simply leave out LeBron James and Kevin Durant.

For obvious reasons, LeBron and Durant are two of the best offensive players of all-time. LeBron has built a reputation as versatile player who can score and pass at a high level, while Durant placed himself in a category of his own, tall as a center yet can take anyone off the dribble like a guard while having that ability to shoot from anywhere.

Former NBA Davon Reed had the opportunity to guard some of the best offensive players in the league including LeBron and KD during his short three-year tenure in the league. Speaking of the toughest player to guard, Reed, who last played for the Denver Nuggets, said it has to be LeBron.

“I mean, I’ve guarded KD, I’ve guarded Paul George. Easily has to be LeBron. My rookie year, in Cleveland… he posted me up like 5 times in a row, and it was either like a scoring error, and-1 like four or five times in a row. Just nothing I could do, he was just too strong, too quick.”
