Former NFL Cornerback Thinks Kevin Durant Would Cook Larry Bird If They Played Against Each Other

NBA fans have always wondered how Kevin Durant and Larry Bird would fare against other had they played in the same era. Both players share a few similarities and are among the best small forwards to ever play in the NBA.

It’s very tricky for anyone to come to a proper conclusion since everything is hypothetical and no one would ever know. However, former NFL cornerback Domonique Foxworth kept it very simple when chiming in on his thoughts of Bird’s stature as an all-time great.

Bird averaged 24.3 points, 10.0 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game on 49.6% shooting from the field throughout his 13-year career. He was 12-time All-Star, a three-time MVP, a three-time NBA champion, and a two-time Finals MVP.

Foxworth, appearing on ESPN’s First Take, however claimed that Bird isn’t a top-five small forward in NBA history while stating that Durant would cook him in his prime if they played against each other.

“Larry Bird is not a top-five small forward of all-time. KD would cook Larry Bird, in his prime, all day…. Fried chicken. We’d all eat Bird for dinner.”
