Goran Dragic Claims Luka Doncic Can Go For 60 Points Easily If He Wanted To

Luka Doncic took the league by storm ever since he stepped his foot in the NBA as a member of the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavericks superstar quickly proved that he’s a franchise player and one who belongs among the NBA’s best players.

This season, the 22-year old big guard has been 28.0 points, 9.3 rebounds and 8.6 assists per game on 45.1% shooting from the field.  Doncic doesn’t possess either elite speed or freakish athleticism, but he is still able to get the job done and impact the game at a higher level.

Doncic is a polished playmaker who can generate efficient offense for his team and has always been noted for his ability to find teammates all over the court. But it’s obvious that passing isn’t his only great quality.

Brooklyn Nets point guard Goran Dragic recently talked about trying to contain the Slovenian superstar after their match against the Mavericks. Dragic noted that Doncic is basically unguardable and that he could score 60 points if he wanted to.

Per Dallas Morning News:

“I tried to make tough on him,” Dragic said, “but you have to know that he’s a huge dude, man. He put you on your hip, and it’s really tough to stop him.

“If he’s making that stepback shot, he’s basically unguardable. … He can go for 60 easy, but you can see that he gets [everybody] involved, so you have to defend him. But, then you have to shrink the floor. But, then he finds open guys, and you have a constant rotation, trying to scramble [like] this, and it’s tough.”
