Grant Hill Sides With Richard Jefferson: “NBA Season Is Supposed To Be Hard”

For years, there have been ongoing talks about possibly shorten the 82-game long lasting NBA regular season.

A lot of things are in favor of a shortened season. For one, it would be more interesting, but it also could eliminated some of the injuries.

Richard Jefferson, one of the most articulate and well-spoken people in the entire NBA isn’t a fan of shortening the season and went on a two minute rant destroying the idea of a shortened season the other day.

“It’s absurd. They have done every single thing…You want to shorten the season? Like how much more do we have to make this coddling and all this stuff go with the players?…

…Professional sports is not good on your body. It’s supposed to separate the people that can do it from the people that can’t do it… Part of greatness is longevity… I think this is a joke.”

Now fellow former NBA star Grant Hill took his side on the debate and agreed with Jefferson on Sirius XM NBA Radio:

“Instead of doing a marathon in a day we are going to do it in 25 days because it’s too hard? No, the season is supposed to be hard.”
