Isaiah Thomas was regarded as one of the top point guards in the NBA when he was still leading the way for the Boston Celtics. He averaged 24.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game on 44.3% shooting from the field with the team, earning a spot as an NBA All-Star for two consecutive years.

His prime however was cut short by injuries. Since then, Isaiah had been a journeyman and had played for the likes of Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers, Denver Nuggets, Washington Wizards, New Orleans Pelicans, Dallas Mavericks and Charlotte Hornets.

Isaiah hasn’t been in the NBA since his brief 17-game stint with the Hornets last season. While the 34-year old small guard struggles to find a role in the league, Isaiah remains positive and is just waiting to get a call from a new team.

Per Heavy Sports:

“Steady on the grind. Staying ready. Hopefully something coming on my phone soon,” Isaiah Thomas tells Heavy Sports. “But you know me, I’m just taking care of the family and staying in the gym. I’m just staying ready, staying as positive as I can during this situation. Obviously I still want to play in the NBA, so I’m going to work for that until I can’t.”
