Isiah Thomas Emphasizes LeBron James’ GOAT Status: ‘Hard To Say He Wasn’t The Best, When It’s All Said And Done’

The ‘GOAT’ debate continues to surface from time to time, especially when four-time champion LeBron James constantly strengthens his resume and proves that his name is deserving to be listed right up there alongside Chicago legend Michael Jordan.

As LeBron keeps establishing a legendary NBA career, Detroit Pistons legend Isiah Thomas believes that it’s going to be hard for people not to appoint the now-Los Angeles Lakers superstar as the best player to ever play the game when it’s all said and done.

“We have never seen a player like this in the NBA. He (LeBron) breaks a record every single night just to remind you you’ve never seen anything like this before. When it’s all said and done, it’s going to be hard for people to look back and say ‘He (LeBron) wasn’t the best.’”

It’s no secret that Isiah Thomas has a known feud with Michael Jordan who is the widely-recognized greatest player of all-time. While it could be argued this might be affecting his perspective on the ‘GOAT debate, it’s also most-likely that Isiah is just enamored of LeBron’s wide-raging talent and incredible longevity.

In the same interview, Isiah even compared the 35-year old freak athlete to one of the greatest athletes of All-Time in Bo Jackson.

“Imagine if Bo Jackson had stayed healthy and kept getting better. That’s LeBron James.”
