Ja Morant FaceTimed Fans He Was Talking To When He Ridiculously Got Ejected, From The Locker Room

Towards the end of the second quarter between the Memphis Grizzlies and Oklahoma City Thunder last night, Ja Morant was ejected, after one of the most bizarre technical fouls of the season.

Morant was having a casual and completely friendly conversation with fans sitting courtside when the referee hit him with his second T of the night. The entire Grizzlies roster, coaching staff and Morant himself and the fans pleaded with the refs to take back the technical foul call. The referee didn’t take back the T and Morant made his way into the locker room.

The funny thing however is that Morant’s conversation with the fans resumed from the locker room. The All-Star FaceTimed his father, who gave his phone to the them.

Morant revealed post-game, that he wanted to thank them for supporting him.

“They came to support us. They came to watch us play. I don’t care about getting fined. You know, just watching basketball, looking at all these other people you can name that be All-Stars, certain stuff they get, I feel it’s not consistent on my end. I speak my peace and some of them get in their feelings.”
