Ja Morant Says He Would Have Cooked Michael Jordan In His Era

Ja Morant not only was one of the breakthrough stars of this past season, the NBA’s most improved player also had impressive showings in the playoffs.

Especially in Games 1 and 2 of the Eastern Conference Semi Finals against the Golden State Warriors Morant showed confidence and dropped 34 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists in Game 1, followed by an unreal 47 point, 8 rebound and 8 assist performance in Game 2.

Morant continued to showcase his skills and has impressed plenty of people last season and out of all the players in the league, he’s arguably had the most highlight plays.

While Morant still has lots of room for improvement, especially on the defensive end of the floor, he already has the confidence of a champion.

In an interview with Taylor Rooks, the Grizzlies star now said that he would have cooked Michael Jordan had he played him in the same era.

“I wish I played in his generation. I heard he was, like how high he go about the game, just that mindset. I would have liked to play against him.

I would have cooked him. I would have cooked him, too. Nobody got more confidence than 12. I’ll say nobody gon’ beat me one-on-one or anything. I don’t care what it is, what sports it is, soccer. Who’s the best player in soccer? Come on, we can play.”
