Jamal Crawford May Retire If No Team Decides To Sign Him Until Next Season

Veteran shooting guard Jamal Crawford has been on the free agent market since last year’s summer and is still looking for an NBA return for the resumption of the NBA season in Orlando, Florida.

As there’s no guarantee that Crawford will be signed by another team, he now was asked if he has already set up a timetable to call it a career, during his appearance onThe Court Vision’ podcast.

“I don’t know if I have a timetable but I would think for me, it would probably be at some point next season. Like it may not be the beginning of next season, maybe a team that fighting for the playoffs later on in the season. And at that point, probably if it doesn’t happen, I would probably say, ‘Okay, that’s it’.”

There have been several NBA players that chose to skip the NBA bubble for personal issues that matter outside of basketball. This situation has opened up the window for Crawford to get the call he has been waiting for all season long.

Crawford last played for the Phoenix Suns, and was still in good shape. Last year, Crawford became the oldest player to ever score 50 points in any single game in NBA history; putting up 51 points against the Dallas Mavericks at the age of 39.
