Jamal Murray Demands Respect From Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley After Win Against Clippers
The Denver Nuggets finished off a surprising upset against the Los Angeles Clippers who were lauded as title-favorites during the entire season, outlasting them with a score of 104-89 in game seven of their Western Conference second-round matchup.
Very few people held high expectations for the Nuggets as the majority believed they were a team positioned to be a second-round team at best.
So after advancing to the Western Conference Finals, Nuggets’ Jamal Murray, who collected 40 points in Game 7, had a good reason to fire back at critics and doubters, urging them to put some respect on their name.
“You got Shaq, you got Charles (Barkley), you got Zach Lowe, Stephen A (Smith). All ya’ll better start giving this team some damn respect because we put in the work and we’ve got a resilient team. Ya’ll can start changing the narrative and looking at us in a better light,” Jamal Murray said in his postgame interview, per Michael Scotto of USA Today.
