Jason Williams Says Shaquille O’Neal Wouldn’t Be As Dominant In Today’s NBA

Shaquille O’Neal is one of the best players of all-time, and throughout his 19-year career, he won four NBA championships, three Finals MVPs, 15 All-Star game selections, 14 All-NBA honors, three NBA All-Defensive honors, two scoring titles, and an MVP.

He also established himself as an offensively unstoppable big man, possessing a number of post moves around the basket and exhibiting a physical bruising brand of basketball. He used to wreak havoc on defenses and would often draw two or more defenders every time.

O’Neal was downright dominant during his playing days in the NBA. But had he played today, former Sacramento Kings legend Jason Williams believes the former Los Angeles Lakers big man wouldn’t have been as dominant.

“Shaq wouldn’t be as dominant as he was back then today,” Williams said. “Just because there would be four, five guys around him that didn’t even have the ball. It’d be tough.”
