Jay Williams Suggests His Durant-Giannis Story Is Accurate Following Allegations From Kevin Durant

Former NBA player and now-NBA analyst Jay Williams recently went on record for sharing a story that Kevin Durant once came up to him and asked not to compare him to Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Durant has caught wind of Williams’ story, and the two-time NBA champion didn’t hold back one bit in firing back at Williams. The Brooklyn Nets superstar made it to twitter and suggested that the player-turned-analyst was fabricating stories.

“Mans will do anything to advance their careers in this media shit, wanting to be accepted by an industry that will dispose of you whenever they please. Keep me out all that corny ass talk about whos better and legacy and all that dumb ass shit. I don’t even talk like that”

Of course, the noise between the two personalities wouldn’t stop without a clarification from Jay Williams himself. Appearing on ‘Keyshawn JWill & Zubin’, Williams admitted that he was wrong for sharing a personal story, but insisted that he’s standing by with what he revealed about Durant.

During his appearance, Williams also added that he has nothing but love for Durant and even extended his support to the Brooklyn Nets superstar as far as winning the NBA championship.

“I stand by my story. You know, I was probably wrong for sharing your personal story. But that’s what we do. We share personal stories.”

“It was meant as a compliment. There are levels to this. It was about you know, saying, hey, how different KD is. It’s unfortunate that KD felt that way at that moment, but I wish KD nothing but love and all the best success, I hope they win a championship.”
