Jimmer Fredette And Stephon Marbury Altercation In China

In the summer of 2009, Marbury went to China, becoming an absolute superstar. He won MVP titles and championships. Starbury lived up to his nickname and China rewarded him with a museum, a movie and a statue.

Jimmer Fredette has a similar story, as he settled over to China as well. After never really making it in the NBA, he joined the Shanghai Sharks of the Chinese Basketball Association last summer. Saying he played well would be a huge understatement. In 41 games, he averaged 37.6 points, 8.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.6 steals per game, while shooting 47.4%  from the field, 39.6% from 3-point range, and 93.3% from the free throw line. He easily lead the league in scoring and won the international MVP award.

Now, the ex-NBA players got into a heated altercation during a recent game.

After the game, Marbury said:

“He forgot what an NBA steal felt like. That’s how we played in ’96 and for sure in Coney Island.”

In the end though, Jimmer had the last laugh and took home the W. He played an insanly good game finishing with a huge triple double (54 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists).
