Joel Embiid Says He Would’ve Been The Greatest Of All-Time If He Were In The 60s NBA

The talent level in the NBA is so much better than it was in the past, especially way back around the 60s. Today, the NBA has a number of point guards who can score on all three levels, forwards and centers that can do everything a little guard can do.

One player who is a product of the modern NBA is Joel Embiid. A 7-foot-two, 280-pound big who has no trouble racing down the court and finish at the rim with ease. He can knock down long range jumpers, shoot fadeaway jumpers like a guard, and dismantle defenders with smooth footwork and soft touch.

Embiid understands the skill level that he possesses. Appearing on Draymond Green’s podcast, the Philadelphia 76ers superstar now said that he would’ve been the greatest player of all-time if he had played in the 1960s, with the same skill set that he has right now.

“Can you imagine the skill level that we have nowadays, or let’s say me doing that back in the freaking 60s? They would’ve probably put me in jail or I would’ve been the greatest player ever.”
