Julius Erving Leaves LeBron James Off His Two All-Time NBA Teams, Indicates LeBron Assembled Super Teams

Over the course of his career, four-time NBA champion LeBron James has been a part of some of the top powerhouse teams in the NBA. This includes the Miami Heat with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, the Cleveland Cavaliers with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love, and the Los Angeles Lakers with Anthony Davis and now with Andre Drummond.

While teams with multiple stars or super teams have long existed in the NBA, LeBron is considered by many as the pioneer for the emergence of super teams, particularly in the past decade. Ultimately, this pushes people to readjust their perspective about LeBron and his legacy.

Making his appearance on ‘Posted Up’ with Chris B. Haynes, NBA Hall of Famer Julius Erving even went as far as leaving LeBron James off his top two all-time NBA teams for the reason that the 36-year old Lakers superstar started the trend for super teams being put together.

“When you look at LeBron and anybody he sort of picks with him… Playing with so many guys… He’s the guy who had led the charge for super teams being put together, when he put together the team in Miami. He put together a team in Cleveland as well and put together a team in Los Angeles.”
