Kelly Oubre Says He’s Not Kevin Durant But He Can Be As Effective As Him With The Warriors

This past 2019-20 season arguably was Kelly Oubre’s best season of his career, yet. The 24-year old forward tallied 18.7 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game on 45.2% shooting from the field with the Phoenix Suns.

The Suns however, couldn’t find a way to keep Oubre and had to give him up in a package to acquire veteran superstar Chris Paul. Oubre, who only has a year left in his current contract, will now start his season with the Golden State Warriors, who are looking to make some noise despite losing an instrumental piece in Klay Thompson.

Now having the opportunity to play with championship-caliber players and a winning organization, Kelly Oubre believes that he can bring the same effectiveness as Kevin Durant to the Warriors, notwithstanding the difference in talent level.

“I am not of the superstar status of a KD, but I can be just as effective with this group of people.”
