Kevin Durant, Damian Lillard and Bradley Beal Among Potential Targets For The Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers are lagging behind most teams in the NBA with a 12-16 win-loss record, making it clear that changes have to be made in order for them to get back on track and return to their previous championship form.

The Lakers have done a decent job putting up a younger and energetic team this season after they had the oldest roster in the league last season. The likes of Lonnie Walker, Troy Brown Jr and Thomas Bryant have been positives, but none of those players are enough to move the needle for the team.

It’s no secret that the team has been exploring trades and has been eyeing certain players for quite a while now. Players like Myles Turner and Buddy Hield are the early trade targets, but the Lakers are longing for more and are now moving into pipe dream territory as they show interest in some of the biggest stars in the NBA.

Per The Athletic:

As The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported earlier this week, the Lakers have had discussions for Detroit’s Bojan Bogdanovic, as well as the Knicks’ Evan Fournier and Cam Reddish.

In addition, other names that have come up are DeMar DeRozan, Kyle Kuzma, Myles Turner, Buddy Hield, Kyrie Irving and Doug McDermott.

All of these players fit the bill as either wings, bigs or stars.

In the ultimate pie-in-the-sky scenario, the Lakers have interest in Kevin Durant, Damian Lillard and Bradley Beal if any of the three stars were to become available.
