Knicks Officially Deny Jefferson’s Statement & The Internet Mocks Them Even More
Even though he’s been retired from professional basketball for a while now, RJ hasn’t stopped with the savagery.
During Sunday’s Nets vs Knicks game, Richard Jefferson said that he refused to play for the Knicks, and rather retired.
“I refused to play for the Knicks. Jason Kidd and Kenyon Martin, they don’t really care. Me… I was the one person that said, ‘Knicks? No. I’ll retire.’ That’s why I retired. They were the one team that offered me a job, and I decided to retire. It’s true. I decided to retire instead of playing for the Knicks.”
Yesterday, the Knicks’ public relations team put out a tweet, denying Jefferson’s story.
For clarification purposes, it is not true that the New York Knicks offered Richard Jefferson a contract in either the summer of 2018 or 2019.

Putting out a tweet to address the matter, made the internet joke about the Knicks even more. Even the Cavaliers joined in on the fun and mocked the Knicks.

Feeling the need to put this tweet out is embarrassing enough.
