Kobe Bryant Wants Michael Jordan Or Phil Jackson To Present Him For Hall Of Fame

There aren’t too many certainties in life, but one of the few is Kobe Bryant being first-ballot Hall of Famer. After retiring in 2016, he will be part of the class of 2021, a class that will be the most decorated in NBA history. In 2021, Kobe won’t be the only superstar to be inducted, as he will be joined by Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett, which is flat out ridiculous.

During a Nike event in Paris, Complex asked Kobe who he wants to present him for the Hall of Fame, and he responded:

“In terms of who might present,” said Bryant, “for me it’s two people: Michael Jordan or Phil Jackson. They’ve been the greatest mentors, not only in my career as an athlete, but also as a person. And what I might say is just a lot of thank yous. ‘Cause I’ve had a lotta help along the way. A lotta lotta help.”

Both of these options make perfect sense. Phil Jackson was the coach who took his game to the next level, and Michael Jordan was Kobe’s idol and a player he modeled many parts of his game after.
