Kyle Kuzma Fires Back At Spencer Dinwiddie, Who Threw Shade On The Wizards Post-Game

Kyle Kuzma enjoyed much success with the Los Angeles Lakers, but he also found his name being thrown in the rumor mill quite often. After their disappointing 2020-21 campaign, it didn’t take too long for the Lakers to package Kuzma in a trade to the Washington Wizards.

Getting traded out of the Lakers however turned out to be a beneficial move for Kuzma’s career. As a matter of fact, Kuzma is playing the best basketball of his career this season with averages of 22.0 points, 7.6 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game on 45.9% shooting from the field.

Last night, Kuzma and the Wizards beat the Dallas Mavericks in a close game with a final score of 127-126. Following the game, former Wizards and now Dallas Mavericks guard Spencer Dinwiddie did not hold back and threw some shade on his former team:

“They’re not playing for nothing for real… it’s a showcase. They’re over there trying to get paid, not trying to play winning basketball. For a team that has real aspirations.. an MVP, went to the conference finals last year, we have to be better,”

This led to Kyle Kuzma, who was a key figure in the win with his 30 points, tweeting about the Mavs in reference to Dinwiddie’s statements in return.

“The funny thing is they don’t play winning basketball there,”
