Kyrie Irving Doesn’t Want James Harden In Brooklyn, Claims Chris Broussard

Amidst the rumors that James Harden is forcing his way to the Brooklyn Nets, Chris Broussard claims people around the league are saying that Nets star Kyrie Irving shows no willingness of playing with the current Rockets superstar, in contrast to Kevin Durant.

“But people around the league are saying Durant wants Harden, and Kyrie does not.”

Although there’s a lack of evidence to Broussard’s claim, it’s still likely that Irving wouldn’t want to play with another ball-dominant player, considering that Irving used to have issues with his former teammate LeBron James when it comes to getting a share on the offense.

Another high-volume scorer means Durant and Irving would have to make major adjustments to complement each other. Granted, Durant and Harden have done more than Irving as a first option, so there would also be the possibility of Irving having to defer and play the ‘third star’ role – something that he never did throughout his career. And it’s a big gamble whether Irving would accept that kind of role.
