Kyrie Irving Is Not Bothered By Negative Rumors Surrounding Him

Finally, after missing 26 games with a nagging injury, Nets star Kyrie Irving made his NBA return yesterday against the Atlanta Hawks.

It seems as Irving didn’t lose a single step, scoring 21 points on 10-11 shooting in only 19 minutes of action.

Ever since joining the Nets though, Kyrie has been named as a source of concern for the franchise this season. Whether it’s rumors about possible ‘mood swings’ or rumors about Kyrie not being a great locker room guy, the All-Star generally receives a lot of criticism. Irving though, doesn’t seem to pay attention to these ‘reports’ too much and continues to be the same guy.

“There’ve been a lot of things said about what I bring to a locker room, the negative side of it. I’m going to continue to be me. Teaching guys and giving them positive encouragement when needed, pulling guys aside, making sure we have team outings and on the same page.”
